SECO International has partnered with the American Society of Optometric Surgeons, known as ASOS, to offer hands-on demonstrations at the SECO conference in New Orleans from Feb. 20 to 24, 2019.

The procedures will highlight radiosurgical technology, Botox (onabotulinum toxin A, Allergan) and YAG laser education, according to a SECO press release.

“Advanced laser procedures provide optometrists the opportunity to expand their service offerings and provide seamless patient care,” SECO President Emilio Balius, OD, told Primary Care Optometry News. “As leaders of the industry premier association, it is our responsibility to provide the industry with education on the most advanced innovative procedures. This unique new show floor feature is just one of the ways SECO is reimagining show offerings in 2019.”

“As ASOS works to deliver on our mission of facilitating education and collaboration, we could not think of a better partner than SECO to achieve these goals,” Richard Castillo, OD, DO, said in the SECO release. “By introducing optometric oculofacial surgical and ophthalmic laser procedures to this community, we position them to expand their patient services and care offerings.” – by Joe Gramigna
