Essilor launches wavefront aberrometer

Essilor Instruments announced the launch of the WAM700+ wavefront aberrometer, the newest addition to the company’s diagnostics and screening line.

The aberrometer, based on Shack-Hartmann wavefront technology, offers complete anterior chamber analysis, according to a press release from the company. WAM700+ assesses a patient’s visual needs, screening for conditions such as cataract, glaucoma and keratoconus.

It is equipped with a large touch screen and provides seven detailed measurements for both eyes in 90 seconds.

“Combined with clinical data, WAM700+ enables eye care professionals to grow business by diagnosing conditions early and better promoting the benefits of specialty lenses and personalized equipment to patients,” Samy Lauriette, Essilor Instruments Americas senior vice president, said in the release.
