Sjögren’s Syndrome Foundation announces World Sjögren’s Day
The Sjögren’s Syndrome Foundation established today, July 23, as World Sjögren’s Day more than a decade ago.
Sjögren’s syndrome was named for ophthalmologist Henrik Sjögren, MD, who first identified the disease in 1933. World Sjögren’s Day is dedicated to raising awareness about the disease and collecting donations to advance research, according to a press release from the organization.
During the month of July, individuals can create a personalized fundraising page, help educate others with a fact sheet provided by Sjögren’s Syndrome Foundation or make a donation.
