Weave releases chat tool for front office communication

Weave has announced the release of Team Chat, a HIPAA-compliant communication tool for dental, medical and optometry practices.
“Communication among staff is the lifeblood of any business, and Team Chat helps make that interaction more efficient, easier and fun,” Johny Wudel, vice president of product at Weave, said in a company press release.
Team Chat provides a central location for staff conversation as well as external communication with patients, according to the release. The tool is available on desktop and mobile platforms, which allows messages to be available anywhere.
It can facilitate individual conversations between two team members when private, specific or sensitive information needs to be discussed, the company said. It also provides a group chat option, allowing for streamlined communication. Furthermore, Team Chat provides notification alerts that appear on both the mobile and desktop platforms.
“Our vision is that Team Chat will become a platform for other communication that is critical to managing a business,” Wudel said.
