New Kodak lens offers dynamic reading optimization
Signet Armorlite has added Kodak Unique DRO progressive lenses to the Kodak Lens Professional Series.
The new lens was designed to support prolonged use of mobile devices by optimizing the reading zone and viewing distance, according to a press release from Signet Armorlite.
The Kodak Unique DRO Progressive Lens is similar to the Kodak Unique Lens, as it offers a full backside progressive lens in six corridor lengths and is available in more than 60 materials. However, by utilizing the Dynamic Reading Optimization (DRO) technology, the Kodak Unique DRO Lens can reduce oblique astigmatic errors by an average of 54% and increase the optical performance of the lens by an average of 17% in the reading area when compared to the Kodak Unique Lens, the company said.
The Kodak Unique DRO Lens is also available in high definition, which can be adapted to individual patient needs. Kodak Unique DRO Lens and Kodak Unique DRO HD Lenses are exclusively available to independent eye care professionals, according to the release.
