VIDEO: Clinician recommends intense pulsed light for dry eye
NEW YORK – John McCall Jr., OD, shared here at Vision Expo East how he is using the Lumenis M22 Optima in his practice as a new method for treating dry eye.
McCall explained how he applies the intense pulsed light treatment around the eye, getting as close as possible to the meibomian glands, which he then expresses. “It really wakes up the glands,” he said, and also may tighten the collagen on the patient’s face, providing, “dry eye treatment with benefits.”
