VIDEO: Full field ERG tracks macular functionality
ATLANTA -- Nate Lighthizer, OD, who presented a learning lab here at SECO on visual evoked potential and electrodiagnostic testing, said full field ERG testing stimulates the patient’s eye with a flash and detects functioning at the level of the outer retina.
“It’s a nice objective means to track functionality and look at progression and, hopefully, improvement as patients are taking their therapy,” he said.
