MIGS comanagement ‘next horizon’ for optometry

CHICAGO – J. James Thimons, OD, a founding partner in a large multidisciplinary secondary and tertiary practice, said the comanagement of micro-invasive glaucoma surgery (MIGS) will be the next horizon for optometry, facilitating the ability to develop optometric practices, provide better care and change the direction of how care is delivered through a dual-profession process.

The new MIGS devices have “clean and predictable outcomes,” he said.
