Hubble to sell its contacts in Canada
Hubble, a direct-to-consumer contact lens brand, is now available in Canada.
The funding for the international expansion was led by existing investors: FirstMark Capital, Greycroft Partners, Founders Fund, Wildcat Capital Management and Two River, according to a press release from the company.
Hubble raised $16.5 million an initial investment round earlier this year, which allowed the company to expand its inventory to address its growing client base. The latest round of funding of $10 million helped the company launch in Canada. Hubble has plans to expand to Europe next year.
“When we launched Hubble 10 months ago, we only had eight employees. Now we have almost 100 people working with the business, both domestically and abroad, and the business continues to grow every day,” Ben Cogan, cofounder and co-CEO of Hubble, said in the release. “Our mission is to continue to provide affordable, quality daily contact lenses to more people in more places, and to bring our product to Canada is just the beginning.”
