PARx Solutions, a company that helps eye care prescribers get prior authorizations from insurance companies, has upgraded its platform by adding features to better aid prescribers, according to information from PARx Solutions

The new features include the ability for multiple providers to submit prior authorizations under a single login, which is beneficial for group practices; the addition of a chart note upload, so prescribers no longer have to fax this information; and e-signature capability, to eliminate the delay of signing up for the PARx Solutions system.

These new features were added based on feedback from users of the prior authorization system.

PARx Solutions has also partnered with OptimizeRx to enable providers to initiate prior authorizations directly from their electronic health records, allowing the information needed to be pulled directly from the patient’s file and streamlining the process for prescribers.

“What these features have in common is that they support ophthalmologists and optometrists in their efforts to get the most appropriate medications for their patients,” Dan Rubin, president of PARx Solutions, said.
