NEW YORK – Results from the Central Retinal Enrichment Supplementation Trials (CREST) show that the use of lutein, zeaxanthin and mesozeaxanthin supplementation improved vision in nondiseased eyes as well as those with early age-related macular degeneration, according to John Nolan, PhD, here at Vision Expo East.

“We can improve contrast sensitivity, glare disability and photostress recovery,” Nolan said. “We feel this is a game-change for ophthalmology and optometry.”
