On behalf of SLACK Incorporated, publisher of Primary Care Optometry News, we congratulate members of the PCON 300.

In October 2016 we announced the PCON 250, a list of optometrists who practice progressively, provide innovative patient care, conduct optometric research or excel in academia and share what they have learned with other optometrists to advance the profession. The optometric community responded enthusiastically to our choices, and we have since expanded upon that list based on recommendations from readers.

The PCON 300 adds 50 young innovators – up-and-coming practitioners, researchers and industry representatives who are following in the footsteps of our original list of 250 veterans.

As with the PCON 250, we intend for the PCON 300 to be a tool for kick-starting conversations and to evolve with the profession. In future issues we will share results of the surveys we conduct, video perspectives we gather and round-table discussions we coordinate with PCON 300 members.

If you wish to nominate a colleague, please reach out to us. We look forward to your feedback. Contact us at optometry@healio.com.
