VIDEO: OCT useful for evaluating vaulting contact lenses
ATLANTA – “The technology we have at our fingertips nowadays improves patient outcomes for some of the more complex contact lenses,” Jeffrey Sonsino, OD, said here at SECO. “It’s no longer sufficient to use the slit beam estimation technique to evaluate your vaulting lenses.”
Sonsino said the literature indicates that scleral lenses must be fit at between 113 microns and 200 microns of vault.
