X-Cel adds Atlantis scleral designs

X-Cel specialty contacts announced the addition of two new lens options to its Atlantis Scleral product line.
The Atlantis Scleral Multifocal is a bi-aspheric multifocal design that allows a controllable center distance zone resulting in improved distance, near and intermediate vision.
The Atlantis Scleral 3-D Vault with Limbal Control Technology is an enhancement to the Atlantis scleral design that allows the limbal sag apex to be adjusted in/out or up/down for optimal peripheral clearance. This design feature allows custom enhancements for oblate (post myopic,LASIK, radial keratotomy) and prolate (ectasias, trauma) corneal conditions.
Additionally, through a sublicense with Contamac, X-Cel is offering Hydra-PEG coating technology on the Atlantis Scleral family of lenses and other GP lens designs manufactured in Optimum, Optimum Extra and Optimum Comfort materials.
