3M announced that it has completed the sale of its safety prescription eye wear business to Hoya Vision Care, which has global involvement in the eyeglass lens industry.

The safety prescription eye wear business provides a line of frames, prescription lenses and premium coating options in a custom-made solution, according to a press release from 3M. This business was part of 3M’s Personal Safety Division and has annual global sales of approximately $45 million.
