ANAHEIM, Calif. – Ben Gaddie, OD, said Diopsys electrodiagnostic testing, particularly electroretinogram (ERG), to gauge his treatment success in glaucoma patients. He said the ERG function measurement may indicate an improvement in the function of the retinal ganglion cells after treatment is initiated.
“From a clinician’s standpoint, to be able to improve the function of something in a glaucoma patient rather than stop progression is a really neat thing,” Gaddie said.
Editor’s note: In this video, the reference to “multifocal ERG” should be “pattern ERG.”
