Vision Council pledges $3 million to TAYE
The Vision Council announced a planned contribution of $3 million to the Think About Your Eyes Campaign in 2017, up from $500,000 in 2016, according to a press release from the group.
In 2015, the campaign resulted in nearly 1 million eye exams, shortened the exam cycle by 45% and brought an additional $320 million in revenue to the eye care industry, the release said.
With the support of 19 industry leaders, Think About Your Eyes has generated more than 1.25 billion impressions in 2016 through national television, radio, print and online/digital advertising, according to the release.
The campaign encourages consumers to learn more about their eye health and schedule an eye exam.
