GSRx launched its Proper Optics Eyewear line of frames and lenses for independent practices as an affordable and quality option to maintain private-pay patients as regular customers.
The line has a catalogue of 280 frame styles, which all include single-vision lenses in plastic or polycarbonate with purchase, according to a press release from the company.
“Price pressure and intensive marketing from national chains and online retailers is reducing the Rx capture rate and the profitability of independent practices,” Dave Jochims, CEO of GSRx, said in the release. “Independent practices are losing revenue, along with the ability to assure the quality of the patient’s visual experience. Proper Optics levels the playing field by giving practices a way to keep price-conscious patients in the practice, while offering the optical quality that meets their standard of care.”
The Proper Optical Eyewear line offers several lens designs from its Epik series, including varying levels of customizable progressives and single vision. The line also offers Infinity Non-Glare and Infinity Clear Non-Glare lens treatments for antireflective performance, scratch resistance and cleaning, as well as PrevaBlue Non-Glare AR and UV3G treatments for blue light protection.
The line is currently available in the Southwest, Northern Midwest and Southeast of the U.S., but the company will continue to expand its market reach at a pace that allows it to offer the highest level of service, according to Jochims in the release.
