NEW YORK – Steve Ferrucci, OD, shared how he is using the Eidon color confocal scanner (CenterVue) in his practice at the Sepulveda VA. He told Primary Care Optometry News here at Vision Expo East that the retinal imaging system uses a combination of white light and confocal laser and can penetrate media opacities.

Ferrucci said he uses it every day in his practice on patients with diabetes and age-related macular degeneration.
