NEW YORK – Aaron Dallek, co-founder and CEO of Opternative, told Primary Care Optometry News here at Vision Expo East that he believes the company’s online refraction technology can increase the number of eye exams performed in the U.S. from 110 million per year to 150 million and facilitate patients returning for comprehensive eye exams every 1.2 or 1.5 years instead of every 2.4 years.

“I think it’s a huge opportunity for optometrists to use our technology to engage their patients and strengthen their relationships by providing convenience to their patients,” and to also have “the opportunity to schedule an eye health exam,” Dallek said.
