To most patients, the eyes are a low priority, unless something goes wrong, patients do not often think of their eyes, according to blogger Agustin L. Gonzalez, OD, FAAO.
He suggests identifying a bridge. Take a foreign concept that patients are not familiar with and show its importance. He suggest using blue light as an example.
“You will be liked, they will know you and trust you and in such a way, you can become the expert,” he said.
