Rodenstock brand returns to US market

The spectacle lens and frame brand, Rodenstock, will be available to U.S. eye care professionals in mid-2015.

EGMA Lens Factory LLC, a manufacturing partner and distributor for Rodenstock in the Middle East and North Africa, has established a new lab and distribution center in Dallas, EGMA reported in a press release.

The new U.S. lab will manufacture the full range of Rodenstock proprietary free-from lenses as well as antireflective coatings and photochromics, EGMA said.

The EGMA executive team includes Poya Ehgterafi, president and CEO, and Alan Yuster, senior vice president of lenses. Yuster held this position for Rodenstock USA in the 1990s, the release said.

“For the first time here in the U.S., the Rodenstock brand will be closer to the retail customer than ever before,” Yuster said in the release. “EGMA’s investment in our new, highly automated lab facility will allow us to benefit from improved flexibility and deliver an unrivaled customer service experience and the fastest delivery times.”
