Optovue announced the launch of The Optometric Medical Model Initiative.

TOMMI is an educational program intended to help physicians transition to a medical practice model through live workshops, symposia, webinars, articles and presentations accessible within the TOMMI web portal, according to a press release from Optovue.

Some of the topics within the portal include: posterior eye diseases, anterior segment, pachymetry maps, billing and coding, and new technology implementation for the eye care practice, the press release said.

Optovue senior manager of marketing communications, Shalini Swamy, told Primary Care Optometry News that access to the portal and its resources, which were launched in February, is open and free of charge.
