To help the Los Angeles Dodgers fight jet lag and play their best they are using Lighting Science Group’s LED lights while competing in Australia in the team’s first two games of the regular season.

A press release from Lighting Science said that the company installed its Awake & Alert and Good Night lights technology in the team plane, training center, dugout and hotel rooms in Australia, where they face the Arizona Diamondbacks.

The Awake & Alert lights and Good Night lights control blue light in the spectrum that can increase or decrease melatonin production and affect energy, sleep and overall feelings of well-being, according to the press release.

The team is also using nine wristwatches that collect data about various sleep cycles, heart rate activity, skin temperature and perspiration.
