IDOC names Brown as new president
The Independent Doctors of Optometric Care announced in a press release that as of Feb. 17, Dave Brown, former president of Vistakon, North America, Johnson & Johnson Vision Care Inc. assumed the role as its president.
Mark Feder, OD, founder of IDOC, an alliance of independent optometrists, will continue as CEO, the release stated.
Brown will be responsible for running the day-to-day operations of the business and overseeing sales, marketing and member services and will report to Feder, according to the press release.
Brown’s career spans the consumer over-the-counter, pharmaceutical and medical device sectors.
Feder said that he will continue solidifying key industry relationships that will further position IDOC as a leader in the optometric space.
The press release stated that over the past 6 months, IDOC has tripled its infrastructure, welcoming new staff members to its member development team, member services team, marketing team and data analytics team.
