Optometry hall of fame accepts nominations
The National Optometry Hall of Fame announced that it is accepting nominations for next year’s awards.
Optometry Cares – the AOA Foundation, which administers the hall of fame, announced in a press release that this is an effort to honor “optometrists who have made a significant and long-lasting impact on the profession.” The winners will be honored at Optometry’s Meeting in June 2014 in Philadelphia.
Nominees must be an optometrist for at least 20 years and have made “a significant and enduring impact on the profession,” the release said.
