LAS VEGAS – Spy Optic introduced at Vision Expo West the Happy Lens, a sun lens collection designed to allow in long-wave blue light rays.

According to Spy marketing director Devon Howard, long-wave blue light promotes serotonin production and regulates the body’s circadian rhythms.

“The patent-pending technology elevates mood and alertness and offers crisp, color-contrast enhancing lenses,” according to a company press release.

Howard told Primary Care Optometry News that the Happy Lens will be available with a prescription in about 3 weeks.

Spy Optic has been in business for 20 years and is a $35-million company, according to the press release.
