RevolutionEHR announces mobile app
SAN DIEGO — RevolutionEHR announced a new mobile app, MyRev, at a press conference here at Optometry’s Meeting.
MyRev enables users to check their patient schedules and access patient information right from their smartphone, according to a company press release.
The app is fully HIPAA-compliant by utilizing the same encrypted protocols as the full RevolutionEHR application, the release said.
The app has a secure login and logs users off after 1 to 5 minutes of inactivity (the user sets the time frame), according to RevolutionEHR founder Scott Jens, OD.
It will be available for iPhone and Android platforms, and free downloadable versions will be available soon from the Apple App Store and Google Play, according to the release.
“It is in fully functional beta testing now and will be available to all doctors in July,” he said at the press conference.
Access to the patient’s medical record will be phased in at some point in the future, Jens added.
