Student travel fellowships available for optometry academy meeting

A large number of fellowships are available for a select group of graduating optometry students to travel to Academy 2012 in Phoenix, according to a press release.

The travel fellowships will give up to 40 residents the opportunity to attend the October meeting.

To apply, students must complete and submit the required online application along with their curriculum vitae. All disease resident travel fellowship applications will be evaluated by the Academy’s Residents Day Committee.

Applications, which can be found online at http://www.aaopt.org/meetings/academy2012/, must be submitted by Aug. 20

Funding for the fellowships was provided by Allergan as a part of the company’s continued commitment to the optometric community.
