NEW YORK — Transitions Optical announced the launch of its 2012 Business Resource Guide and its new online multicultural toolkit here at Vision Expo East.

The Business Resource Guide provides an overview of Transitions Optical's educational materials and serves as a comprehensive guide for eye care professionals. Included in the guide is the Transitions Marketing Wiz, which provides eye care professionals with marketing guidance for their practice; Transitions map, which helps practitioners to identify key consumer segments within their geographical areas; and the Transitions Star Partner Program, which will give members access to a wide range of complimentary marketing tools, educational materials and product displays specifically tailored to attract and engage patients.

The multicultural toolkit is designed to bridge the gap between eye care professionals and their culturally diverse patients. This resource, available online, explains reasons to focus on culturally diverse patients and provides a step-by-step guide to success. Also, the toolkit has a customizable "My Dashboard" for easy, tailored practitioner use.

Transitions also announced that its Xperio performance sun wear is now available in a polycarbonate offering.

"By expanding the availability to a polycarbonate product, we're providing the benefits of a polarized photochromic, but with added safety benefits in a lightweight, impact resistant material," Rick Piper, senior vice president of sales and marketing at Transitions Optical, said in a company press release.
