Private practice network launched

LAS VEGAS – Here at International Vision Expo and Conference, company executives announced the launch of Prima Eye Group, a professional networking and management services firm created to help independent optometrists grow their practices.

“My personal mission is to help private ODs thrive,” Jerry Hayes, OD, Prima founder, chairman and chief executive officer, told attendees at a press conference. “The promise of Prima is not just buying discounts, it is to take each member practice to the next level.

“Other principals include Neil Gailmard, OD, MBA, FAAO, founder, president and chief operating officer, and Billy Cochran, OD, vice president of member acquisition.

“Dr. Cochran said the group’s emphasis is on education of doctors and staff.

““We’re a doctor alliance, a management services company,” added Dr. Gailmard.

“A monthly membership fee will cover purchasing discounts, one-on-one consulting with Drs. Gailmard and Hayes, practice management education, networking, staff management programs and centralized services including advice on managed care, billing and coding, taxes and social media.

“Dr. Gailmard said Prima Eye Group will begin accepting members Oct. 1.
