JACKSONVILLE, Fla. — Johnson & Johnson Vision Care Inc. said it has entered into a U.S. distribution and supply agreement for three prescription ophthalmic pharmaceutical agents from the Japan-based Santen Pharmaceutical Group. During the first quarter of 2004, J&J Vision Care will become the exclusive U.S. distributor for Quixin (levofloxacin), Betimol (timolol hemihydrate) and Alamast (pemirolast potassium). Santen will continue to have responsibility for manufacturing, clinical and regulatory activities associated with these products, according to a J&J press release. The financial terms of the agreement were not disclosed.
