In-office progressive lens launched
NEW YORK — Super Systems Optical Technologies introduced a new high definition progressive lens, the ADDvantage HD, here at year's International Vision Expo.
The lens is designed to offer the performance of free form lenses and the convenience and cost savings of producing them in-office on the Fast Grind system, according to a company press release.
The lens has been digitally enhanced to eliminate distortion in the distance zone while providing smooth progression through the intermediate zone into a generous reading area.
ADDvantage is available in a regular corridor design with fitting heights of 18 mm and above, a short design with fitting heights of 14 mm and above and also with an optional premium antireflective coating. The materials are plastic or photochromic, with polarized to be available soon, the release said.
