LAS VEGAS — Ice-Tech Advanced Lens Technologies announced the worldwide release of its new progressive-addition lens, the Workplace Lens, at a press conference here at the International Vision Expo and Conference.

The new lens features three focal lengths, including 20 inches, 32 inches and 44 inches, and is specifically designed for patients who like to read, cook, enjoy hobbies or work on the computer, and are accustomed to burning eyes, tension headaches and fatigue, according to a company press release.

Also announced during the press conference was the passing of the Ice-Tech president's torch from founder K. Allen Weatherby to the former director of sales and marketing, Beth Showalter.

Mr. Weatherby will stay on as chief executive officer and shift his focus to new research and development projects, according to the release.
