ATLANTA – AIT unveiled its SL-8U Digital Slit Lamp, its Synergy Automated Refraction System and its Edge 580 Premium Patternless Edging System here at the annual SECO 2011 meeting.

The SL-8U uses German manufactured optics to provide high-resolution clarity and it comes equipped with a Canon 15.1 megapixel camera, which can produce 1080p high-definition video, five-step magnification, slit angles from 0 to 180 degrees both horizontal and vertical, a continuous variable slit aperture up to 14 mm, and an all-in-one touch screen PC to catalogue and store images, according to a company press release.

The AIT Synergy Autorefraction System, in addition to being affordably priced, now comes with a Snellen chart system and an integrated LCD panel as opposed to a chart projector, according to the release.

Exclusively offered by AIT, the Weco Edge 580 Patternless Edging System offers integrated drilling, lensometry, autoblocking, grooving, safety bevel, wrap edging and a simple-to-use interface to process Chemistrie magnetic lenses, said the release.
