LAS VEGAS — ABB Concise and Compulink Business Systems Inc. intend to enter into a partnership agreement to integrate Compulink's electronic health record and practice management software with ABB Concise's distribution centers to automate contact lens ordering, according to a joint company press release.

The partnership will create better contact lens ordering efficiencies and reduce redundancies, according to the companies.

"This partnership will now give our mutual accounts the ability to utilize both of our companies' services to the fullest potential. Our customers will now be able to use their Compulink software and still receive all the services and benefits from ordering with ABB Concise," Lynda Baker, executive vice president of ABB Concise, said in the announcement released during International Vision Expo and Conference.

"As our client's business partner, we're always looking for new ways to help them automate their business to reduce operating expense and give them more time to focus on patient care," Compulink President and CEO Link Wilson said in the release.

The technical and logistical aspects of this partnership should be up and running before the end of the year, according to the companies.
