Optometry Giving Sight announces new national sponsor
EyeVis Eye and Vision Research Institute has become a national supporter of Optometry Giving Sight in the United States.
We have numerous concepts that will bring funds to Optometry Giving Sight via a portion of our research proceeds, S. Barry Eiden, OD, of EyeVis Eye and Vision Research Institute said in an Optometry Giving Sight press release. Concepts will include sponsoring various charity events and helping spread the word about the good work done by Optometry Giving Sight to the eye care community that we interact with both locally in the Midwest and nationally via our eye and vision research projects, he said. Dr. Eidens partner at the institute is Robert Davis, OD.
Dr. Eidens commitment is being matched by his family. His son Jeffrey, a senior at Deerfield High School, recently organized a fundraising event for Optometry Giving Sight called Skate for Vision in conjunction with his role as community service coordinator for his hockey team. The event raised $1,000 for Optometry Giving Sight.
