CHICAGO — In this Healio Video Perspective from Eyecelerator@AAO, Nordic Pharma Eye Care U.S. president Philip Gioia and chief commercial officer Jai G. Parekh, MD, MBA, FAAO, discuss Lacrifill’s launch and its impact on dry eye treatment.
Lacrifill is an effective tool for ocular surface management both before and after cataract surgery, according to Parekh.
“It works very quickly. The onset of action is almost immediate, the procedure itself for Lacrifill in office is minutes, and most importantly, the patient doesn’t feel or experience any issues,” Gioia said. “Lacrifill is reimbursed by CPT code 68761 ... so Lacrifill is getting reimbursed in the office.”
