KIAWAH ISLAND, S.C. — In this Healio Video Perspective from Kiawah Eye, Eric D. Donnenfeld, MD, discusses Lacrifill for the management of dry eye disease.

Donnenfeld called Lacrifill (Nordic Pharma), which launched May 29, the next generation of punctal occlusion.

“What makes it really special is that it’s not externally located, so you’re not going to have the irritation that you would have with an external plug,” he said. “It’s also not one-size-fits-all. It really binds to the inner wall of the canalicular structure, so it gives you better punctal occlusion than a regular punctal occluder.”
