WAILEA, Hawaii — In this Healio Video Perspective from Hawaiian Eye 2024, Sheri L. Rowen, MD, discusses new treatment options for patients with presbyopia.

In one example, Rowen said she had a patient who needed cataract surgery and had high vision outcome requirements. The Light Adjustable Lens+ (RxSight) helped achieve those goals.

“This was really remarkable. I don’t expect this in every patient,” she said. “But just the fact that we have this first patient is really exciting, that we can offer something new again for our patients this year.”

Rowen also discussed a modular shape-changing lens from Atia Vision, a new 0.4% pilocarpine drop and laser scleral microporation (Ace Vision Group).
