VIDEO: Office-based surgery offers ‘comfortable, refractive-like experience’ for patients
SAN FRANCISCO — In this Healio Video Perspective from the AAO meeting, John W. Josephson, MD, discusses the benefits of office-based eye surgery.
Office-based surgical suites are a positive alternative to surgical centers, according to Josephson.
“We have had patients who have gone to our surgical suite and not one of them has asked to go back to a surgical center for their second eye, but we have had the opposite where a patient will go to the surgery center and then ask to have their surgery at the surgical suite for their second eye and have reported an excellent experience,” Josephson said.
