VIDEO: EVO ICL provides option for upgrade, ‘next better thing’
SAN FRANCISCO — In this Healio Video Perspective from Eyecelerator@AAO, Scott D. Barnes, MD, chief medical officer of STAAR Surgical, discusses how the EVO ICL is still a new and disruptive product for vision correction.
The EVO ICL is biocompatible with the eye, does not induce dry eye syndrome and is removable if a patient wants an upgrade or “the next better thing,” he said.
“Some of my patients have said to me, ‘I didn’t want to get that thing that I could never change.’ Here, they feel like this allows them a change if they need it,” Barnes said.
