KOLOA, Hawaii — In a presentation from Hawaiian Eye 2023, Julie Schallhorn, MD, MS, discusses the science behind diffraction and IOLs.
“Combining diffractive optics with the human eye offers unique advantages, multifocality, extended range of vision and challenges,” Schallhorn said. “The best optical performance you are going to get is a healthy, regular and stable ocular surface with a minimizing residual refractive error.”
