CHICAGO — In this Healio Video Perspective from the AAO meeting, Omar Shakir, MD, MBA, discusses his positive experiences pioneering office-based retina surgery.
“I’m excited that this could possibly be the way the field may head because the patient outcomes have been great,” he said. “We’re happy that we’re going to push this field in a different direction with hopefully less adverse effects to cardiac and pulmonary stress.”
