NEW YORK — In a presentation at OSN New York, Marguerite McDonald, MD, FACS, discusses the advantages of using the epi-Bowman keratectomy technique for surface ablation.
According to McDonald, a single-use disposable instrument is used to remove the epithelial surface of the cornea without damaging basement membrane or Bowman’s layer, resulting in less pain and faster re-epithelialization.
