MONTEREY, Calif. — In this Healio Video Perspective from the Women in Ophthalmology Summer Symposium, Lola Idowu, MD, discusses various skills labs from the meeting and global updates in ophthalmology.

Idowu said that women in ophthalmology are getting stronger in Africa and noted that the meeting’s labs offered insight on topics such as cataracts, suturing and dry eye disease.

“It was encouraging to find people to come in and volunteer their time to teach others and exciting to hear people say that they had taken new skills home,” Idowu said.
