All lots of bevacizumab 1.25 mg/0.05 mL 31-gauge injectable and bevacizumab 2.5 mg/0.1 mL Normject TB injectable from Pacifico National, doing business as AmEx Pharmacy, have been voluntarily recalled by the company, according to a press release.

The recall comes after an FDA inspection found a risk for non-sterility, which could lead to infection.

Physicians who have these products, used for the treatment of wet age-related macular degeneration and diabetic retinopathy, are asked to stop using them, remove them from inventory and return them to AmEx Pharmacy. The pharmacy can be reached at 800-644-9431 or amargio@amexpharmacy.com, while adverse reactions can be reported to the FDA’s Med Watch Adverse Event Reporting program.
