The Renal Healthcare Association has appointed William Poirier, MBA, BSN, BA, RN, to serve as new executive director of the renal trade organization, according to a press release.
“We are thrilled to welcome Bill Poirier to the Renal Healthcare Association as our new executive director,” Rob Bomstad, MS, BS, RN, president of the Renal Healthcare Association (RHA), said in the release. “His extensive experience and proven ability to drive positive outcomes align with RHA's commitment to advancing the dialysis industry."
Poirier will also serve as the executive director of the RHA subsidiary Renal Services Exchange, a nationwide services provider, according to the release.
The new role calls for supporting the association and its members “in achieving positive patient outcomes in addition to bolstering advocacy and educational initiatives and investigating opportunities to create partnership to expand the organization’s impact,” according to the release.
“I am excited and honored to be part of such a historic organization that has been the voice of independent dialysis groups for over 45 years,” Poirier, who previously worked as regional administrator of Greenfield Health Systems in Michigan, said in the release.
“We have great challenges ahead, along with massive opportunities to continue to serve and expand RHA’s work across the country,” Poirier said. “I am committed to the work and grateful to the board of directors and the executive leadership team.”
