The National Kidney Foundation announced five recipients of the 2023 NKF Young Investigator Research Grant Program, according to a press release.

The recipients are Korey Bartolomeo, DO, a nephrologist in Cleveland; Dipal Patel, MD, PhD, an assistant professor of medicine in Baltimore; Leonela Villegas, MD, an assistant professor at the Connecticut Children’s Medical Center in Hartford; Anvesha Srivastava, MD, a postdoctoral fellow in the division of kidney diseases and hypertension at George Washington University; and Stella Kilduff, MD, a pediatric nephrologist in Chicago.

“These exceptional young investigators have demonstrated remarkable dedication to advancing kidney disease research,” Sylvia E. Rosas, MD, MSCE, NKF president and clinical researcher at the Joslin Diabetes Center and Harvard Medical School in Boston, said in the release. “Their works hold great promise for improving our understanding of kidney disease and enhancing patient care.”
