VIDEO: Facility Guidelines Institute is accepting proposals for home dialysis training

KANSAS CITY, Mo. — In this interview from the Annual Dialysis Conference, Michael A. Kraus, MD, discussed the 2026 home dialysis training guidelines being developed by the Facility Guidelines Institute.

The guidelines for 2022 were recently published and, according to Kraus, about half of the United States follow these guidelines for home dialysis training.

“As they open the proposals for 2026, it’s a good time to think about, ‘Is that something that interests you? Can you fill in their proposal [and] send in your thoughts about how home dialysis training might change?” Krause said in the video.

Proposals can be submitted at FDI.org until June 23.
